Elements of Design

Francy, our experienced instructor who leads this class, teaches lessons that help prepare students for college and shares with them her real-world experience.

In this art class, students will learn about the elements of design, such as color theory, scale, shape, and texture.

This class is highly recommended for students who intend to major in Art.

Why everyone should learn design

Learning about design basics will provide students with a solid foundation of important artistic techniques. Students love our Elements of Design because they have the opportunity to learn how to create dynamic and engaging artworks based on what they learn in class. The skills that they learn in this weekly art class have real-world applications, as an understanding of design is the basis for many careers in the visual arts and beyond.
