2 hour classes for students ages 5 to adults in Fairfax and in Chantilly, Virginia.
We can help high school students prepare a strong art portfolio for college applications.
This new summer program was created for Portfolio students and adults to gain experience in this invaluable way of academic drawing.
This program provides experimentation with balsa wood and other media in the construction of three-dimensional sculpture.
In this two-week workshop, students will create a paper-based installation inspired by world-renowned contemporary artists.
I've gone to US Arts as a kid, then coming back during high school for portfolio preparation for college. I have learned so much from the teachers there and have been accepted into almost all of the colleges I applied to with scholarships (still awaiting results from a few like RISD, Pratt, and Parsons). These include top art colleges including MICA, SVA, SAIC, VCUArts, and more.
US Arts has also continuously notified its students of upcoming art competitions and have helped me win awards in a few including gold keys in the Scholastic Art and Writing, Celebrating Art, and more. Lastly, I wanted to note that the educators at US Arts are some of the most invested teachers I have ever had in making their students succeed in the art world.
Both of my girls have been attending US Arts for a few years, and they really love it! Their curriculum is very comprehensive and hassle-free for parents. The girls feel like they are learning a lot and I receive compliments all the time on their art pieces.
It's also really convenient for me since they have classes for all age groups at the same time, so I can just drop them off and pick them up at the same time. Definitely recommended!
I've attended USArts ever since elementary school and have always looked towards attending class every week. I was always encouraged to be creative, explore different media, and try different art styles. As I improved, my teachers always knew how to challenge me to step into the next level.
I am also grateful for the help they have given me in crafting my college art portfolio. With this support, I was able to put together a polished portfolio that I was proud of.
USArts has nurtured my creativity, imagination, and lifelong passion for art and supported me all the way along my journey as an artist.
I’ve been taking classes at the US Arts Center for 5 years. All of my teachers have been so helpful in teaching me technical and conceptual skills in a variety of media. They have always pushed me to create pieces outside my comfort zone, while also making sure my pieces were enjoyable to me. .I realized art was something I wanted to pursue in college.
Not only did US Arts help improve my artistic abilities, but they also helped with many other parts of my college application journey as well. Ms. Xiaoyi has given amazing guidance for my artist statements and portfolio reviews. I’m so thankful for everything US Arts has provided me and I don’t know what I’d do without them!
I've learned so much at my time at US Arts since 6th grade, and I'm extremely grateful for the advice and help I've received from my teachers there. The environment is incredibly supportive with the patience and dedication of the staff and instructors. In every class, my teachers have given valuable and detailed feedback on my work and on my ideas on new projects, which improved how I can express the themes in my artwork.
US Arts has also helped me greatly with my college art portfolio planning, and the individual meetings with Ms. Xiaoyi gave me a clear straightforward plan for what I would need to finish during the fall of my senior year. I've improved so much in using different types of media, from pencil, acrylic, to even ink, and I am thankful for US Arts in supporting me through my art journey!
The owners Ms. Janet and her husband are very kind, patient and professional folks that we fully trust. Over many years, this is the only extra-curriculum activity that my daughter has persisted and every week looks forward to, not only because she genuinely loves drawing but most importantly being in a positive growth environment with no-pressure. I thought this is important as nowadays there is just too much pressure everywhere for kids.
Both teachers and students are of great diversity here and US Arts have comprehensive school-year curriculum along with summer and specialty camps as well as opportunities for outdoor drawings and art museum visits. All of the teachers my daughter had at US Arts are great artists themselves. The teachers and Janet always went great lengths explaining curriculum, elaborating things that are important and provide many reminders along the way. As parent and as far as art class goes here, I can honestly say it is a worry free. Happy to witness its growth over the years. Art enriches our life and I feel their hard work and business is doing great thing to the community.
