Artventure: Urban Sketching Workshop

Urban sketching is when artists go to a location and draw what they see in front of them, such as buildings and people. If your high schooler is applying for college and is interested in being an art, engineering, architecture, or interior design major, then they’ll need to build up their college art portfolios with structural and outdoor drawings.

Drawing in a dynamic public space with ever-changing subjects and scenery fosters quick decision making, time-management and adaptability. Ultimately, this cultivates problem-solving skills and helps you to become more of a decisive artist. This will reduce your procrastination and increase productivity. 

Detailed Instructions & Real Time Feedback  

Our instructor will guide you on how to form an analysis of the space and capture the composition quickly.  She will give real time feedback and critique throughout all drawing sessions.

Our curated locations offer opportunities to draw open and unique areas with dynamic structure and perspective. The locations cater to the criteria sought by art admissions. Students can potentially use their pieces for their portfolio.  Our locations are also carefully chosen with consideration to our students' comfort and to the weather during the workshop.   

Transportation Isn't A Hassle!

Parents will drop students off/pick up at our VIENNA location. We will provide transportation for our students to and from the drawing locations.
