Absence / Makeup
Policies
- Parents need to report absences for their child(ren) and schedule makeup classes ahead of time from their account in RMS.
- All absences need to be reported a minimum 2 hours prior to the class start time in order to schedule makeup class for the missed class.
- Absences without reporting cannot be made up.
- Students must do makeups in the location they are registered in
- All absences need to be made up within the semester and cannot be made up after the semester ends. This is to ensure our students finish their projects for the semester. We have three semesters:
- Fall Semester: 1st week of September - before winter break
- Spring Semester: January - school year end (mid-June)
- Summer Semester: mid-June - end of August
- No make-ups are allowed after the registration has ended.
- Absences are not refundable and cannot be carried over to the next registration term.
- If US Arts Center is closed due the inclement weather, the missed classes will be reported by our staff as absences. Parents can schedule a make-up class from your account.
- No credit or refund for school closure. The class needs to be made up.
- Students at Portfolio Pro (P810+) are exempted from reporting absence prior to class start time. They can make up their missed classes without reporting and scheduling.
